I still can't get in on the 300 baud line.  When I dial 493-1787 at
CCRMA the tone comes over loud and clear.  However at home I get
only a very faint signal - not enough for the modem to pick up.
I tried another non-Stanford phone and it too was very faint.
On the other hand using 'DIAL' at SAIL works fine.
Any ideas??			lcs
